Country Range’s catalogue of caterer inspired on-trend products has been enhanced with the launch of two frozen and pre-portioned bite-sized dessert selections, each featuring three jaw-droppingly tasty treats
Available immediately via the 12 independent wholesalers which make up the Country Range Group, the new products feature classic flavour combinations and on-trend dessert formats and are ideal for kitchens lacking the time or resource to create their own in-house.
As well as being perfect as part of a hospitality caterers’ dessert offering, the selections are ideal for the care sector. Care caterers can provide a small dessert slice with a hot beverage as a snack for residents during the day or utilise the selections as part of an afternoon tea which is a great opportunity to promote social interaction and increase the intake of fluid and essential calories.

Country Range Marketing Controller Emma Holden said:
“We’re always looking for ways to improve our offering and to help make it easier for caterers to serve quality products that their customers will love. These latest products are exactly that and are frozen and pre-portioned so there’s minimal fuss or wastage. We expect them to be a big hit as afternoon tea continues to be an incredibly popular dining occasion, whether that is eating out of home or where customers purchase a delivered box to celebrate an occasion at home. Consumers will also be looking for smaller treat occasions such as a delicious sweet treat alongside a coffee, and our new dessert selections are perfect for that market too.”

The Group is also working to remove “Problem Plastics” from their range such as black plastic by the end of 2021, of which there has been over 30 tonnes removed from the range so far. Alongside this, CRG will also move away from white cardboard in order to increase the level of recycled material in the outer cases used.
