A unique fashion range inspired by craft beer has been launched by Derby Brewing Company

The range has been designed in partnership with Derby-based clothing fashion brand, Mr Shaw, and is the first time a UK craft brewer has launched a dedicated fashion collection,

The craft brewery, which owns five pubs across the East Midlands, will launch the limited edition range of garments with two t-shirt designs, a hoodie and sweatshirt.

Speaking about the new collection, Paul Harris, managing director for Derby Brewing Company, said:

“This is the first of its kind for a brewer. Beyond typical craft brewery merchandise, this is a fashion collection that you would be very happy to own and wear every day, with genuine high street appeal and quality.

“When considering the idea for a merchandise range with a twist, I knew I needed the right partner to match my ambition, and Mr Shaw immediately sprang to mind.

“I loved the idea of two Derby companies working closely together to make a fashion range combining style and substance, with design and quality to match.

“To be able to bring this collaboration to life and produce a genuinely fashionable range is an exciting project, and something that was really important to me. Great beer, great pubs and looking sharp – what’s not to like?!”

Mr Shaw founder and designer, Karl Shaw, added:

“Derby has a rich brewing heritage, something we wanted to convey in the design and, when things are back to normal, be proud to wear to the pub.

“Paul and I have kept in touch ever since we played football together over 18 years agoso I was delighted when he approached me with the idea. I knew it was something special!

“Our designs continue the sophistication of Mr Shaw, with its contemporary twist, and a unique take on the Derby Brewing Company brand, while every garment is Fair Wear Foundation(FWF) Certified and made from Premium Organic cotton and recycled polyesters.”

Paul continued: “We will also be launching a unique Mr Shaw craft beer this year and have plans for joint events when allowed. Watch this space!”
